After a fatal decision causes the death of his seven-year old daughter Leonie the formerly successful painter David (Mads Mikkelsen) has lost control of his life. But one day he discovers a door that offers him the opportunity to start anew. What starts off as a promising chance to set things right soon turns into a nightmare scenario, because in the past not everything is what it appears to be.
