The German-Indian KISSY, 31, is a happy single living with her daughter MEENA, 7, in the multicultural district of Berlin-Kreuzberg. There she manages a run down yet charming apartment building in which she runs the cosy “Café Devi”. Everything would be just fine if it weren’t for her mega-traditional Nana from India who arrives in Berlin to whip Kissy’s dissolute lifestyle into shape: if Kissy cannot take better care of her family and finally marry the father of her daughter, her Nana will sell the house and the café…
