The Turkish cleaning lady Anam is one of those headscarf-clad women that you see every day in the streets. When she learns that her oldest son is in the hospital, overdosed on heroin, she realises suddenly how little she knows about the lives of her children. Abandoned by her husband but supported by her cleaning colleagues, she pits herself against the conservative Turkish community and the drug scene in order to save her son.
