New Year’s Eve 2000. Jonathan’s thousand-year term as an undergod is coming to a close. Godly paradise awaits him! Though the thought of head goddess Yolanda arriving at the heavenly control centre in a couple of hours to review his final report does make him somewhat anxious, seeing the amount of chaos her lazy and constantly stoned earth god is leaving behind. What’s worse, Jonathan has forgotten to find a successor for his post, which could mean another 1000-year term for him… Of all people he chooses Niklas, who’s only connection to eternity is the fact that he’s just fallen hopelessly in love. But the looming second term awakens Jonathan’s remaining ambition. This will be a New Year’s Eve Niklas will not soon forget.
