Their second case catches up to the NDR “Tatort” detectives Thorsten Falke (Wotan Wilke Möhring) and Katharina Lorenz (Petra Schmidt-Schaller) on the North Sea island of in Langeoog. A brutal murder shatters the idyll of the small island: a dead woman in the dunes, next to her a dazed, blood-covered teenager. Florian (Leonard Carow) is the brother-in-law of Jan Katz (Sebastian Schipper), an old friend and ex-colleague of Inspector Falkes. The confused youth cannot remember a thing. Is he perpetrator or a victim? The Aurich see a simple open and shut case – Florian’s amnesia is a lie to cover himself. Thorsten Falke, who just wanted a couple of days to relax on the island, has a different theory. Against all regulations and the opposition of his local colleagues Falke and Lorenz investigate in a different direction than the head of the Aurich homicide division Christine Brandner (Nina Kunzendorf, in a onetime guest role).
