Every day people in need, fearing for their lives, and without any prospects arrive here in Hamburg. It’s mostly thanks to volunteers that they receive help in various areas of life. The initiative “Refugees Welcome Films Hamburg“ has created a support system for refugees that visually illustrates and brings to life the slogan “Refugees are welcome!” Within their skillset Hamburg filmmakers have developed concepts how to help refugees pragmatically in the form of How-To-Guide-Clips in various languages in a Youtube Channel and via other sites. These provide important information ranging from sports and games to issues like legal status and administrative requirements as well as themes circling women and family issues and material support.
