Marking the current news coverage of the Oury Jalloh case, the Sierra Leonean who fatally burned police custody in 2005 in Dessau, Das Erste will be showing Tatort: Verbrannt at 10pm on 17.11.2017. In a small town in Lower Saxony, police officers Thorsten Falke and Katharina Lorenz are following an african asylum seeker suspected of supplying human traffickers with forged passports. The arrest that the team had been working towards turned violent, with Falke resorting to force.
The suspected forger is staken into police custody overnight, in order to be questioned the next day. In the morning Falke and Lorenz learn that the man died in unknown circumstances during the night. Falke and Lorenze begin their own private investigations…
